NBA Preseason Night 11: Predictions, Preview, Schedule

Blazers vs Suns

Time: 5pm Est

Predicted Winner: Suns

The Blazers play in their second to last preseason game tonight, and honestly I have so many questions for this team and franchise for that matter. How long will it take to get a team behind dame. Fans of the blazers ask themselves this every season, and every season nothing changes. It’s the same team, with little pieces added here and there. And then those pieces are snatched away from them in a yeae or two because this team has no foundation outside CJ and Dame.

Mavs vs Hornets

Time: 6:30pm Est

Predicted Winner: Mavs

The Mavs are currently 2-0 in their summer league and have looked impressive, in the win against the Clippers we were able to see KP and Luka back together. This season is going to be very interesting, because even though Luka is seen as the cornerstone for this franchise. How does that make KP really feel? Also how will Luka react when the Mavs make the playoffs again and potentially lose.

Grizzlies vs Pacers

Time: 7pm est

Predicted Winner: Grizzlies

As I have stated every single preseason preview, this team looks exceptional. Something that I myself has not said since the days of Mike Conley, Tony Allen and Marc Gasol. This team looks like it finally has some structure and depth behind Ja. Don’t be shocked if this team goes deep this year.

Celtics vs Magic

Time: 7pm est

Predicted Winner: Celtics

What more can you say about the Celtics, they just look unstoppable behind a healthy Jayson Tatum, last season the Celtics didn’t have their full core for the majority of the year. And when they did have them, majority of the team was coming back from having covid. Tatum has been

on the record, stating that after getting covid he just didn’t feel the same. This season, we are in store for a career year for Tatum.

Pistons vs Knicks

Time: 7:30pm est

Predicted Winner: Knicks

The Knicks looked strong in their win against the Wizards. Dominating the entire way, I expect this game to be the same. Especially since cade is still out and may not make it for the season opener.

Nuggets vs Thunder

Time: 8pm est

Predicted Winner: Nuggets

The Nuggets have lost all of their games coming into the preseason, none of that matters though. This team is still figuring out the kinks and not even using there full roster. I fully expect this game to be a easy win for the Nuggets.

Bucks vs Jazz

Time: 9pm Est

Predicted Winner: Bucks

My game of the night, this is going to be a slobber knocker. Two of the best teams in the league going at it in preseason. The NBA season is gearing back around, and this matchup is just giving us a taste of what we could possibly see in the NBA finals.

NBA Preseason Night 10: Results

Raptors defeat the Wizards – 113-108

Top scorer for each team

Raptors: Malachi Flynn – 22 points, 3 Ast and 2 Rebounds

Wizards: Kyle Kuzma – 24 points, 2 Ast and 7 Rebounds

Everyone on the Wizards performed incredibly well, Spencer dropped 10, Montrezl with 17 points, KCP with 15 and Beal dropping 7 points. This wasn’t enough to beat this young Raptors squad though. They played exceptionally well tonight, where we saw the young guard Malachi Flynn score 22 points in a strong offensive showing. His name didn’t ring any bells last season, but if he continues to play like this. He could easily be a contender for MIP if given enough minutes.

Warriors defeat the Lakers – 111-99

Top scorer for each team

Warriors: Damion Lee – 16 points, 2 Ast and 9 Rebounds

Lakers: Anthony Davis – 20 points, 2 Ast and 6 Rebounds

The Warriors continue to truck through teams throughout this preseason campaign. This makes 2 wins in a row vs the Lakers this preseason. While none of that matters, it’s still something to pay attention to.

This game was close until the very end where we see the lakers offense become stagnant and become riddled with turnovers and missed shots, just like how the game started. Some positives that came out of this game was again, the lakers bench.

With THT, and monk hurt as well as their starter Ariza. But thankfully they have some depth on the bench. Lebron made over 4 turnovers in the first quarter alone but begun to tighten up. Lebron was keen on playing these last 2 preseason games for the team to get more connected during a real game.

My Play Of The Night

WWE NXT 2.0 Live Results Oct. 12, 2021

Welcome to your SportsGotNext coverage of NXT 2.0 for Oct. 12, 2021.

Tommaso Ciampa vs Joe Gacy

In our opening match we saw Ciampa pickup the big victory. Starting out strong in this match we see an onslaught of offense from Ciampa. A very technical match that we were given tonight, showing how both guys can tear each others arm out of the socket. Throughout this whole match, Gacy fought hard to get a chance to insert himself in the NXT title match at Halloween Havoc. A solid match to start the night.

Tommaso Ciampa wins by pinfall

Grade: B

Toxic Attraction Promo

In this promo the three girls all talk about taking the gold from the woman in NXT, Many rose proclaims that whatever hair she has she’s still the baddest in the game. With a win at Halloween Havoc, Toxic Attraction would be the first NXT woman’s tag trio to get the NXT woman’s and Tag Team titles.

Grade: B

Xyon Quinn vs Malik Blade

A great match, this match was able to show what Quinn could do in the ring. He looks to be someone that NXT could be building in the future. When you watch him in the ring he has that IT factor that any young uprising talent should have.

Xyon Quinn wins by pinfall

Grade: B

Ivy Nile vs Valentina Forez

This match did exactly what it was designed to do, show how powerful and accomplished Ivy Nile is in the ring. At points Forez could be seen with her head being stomped on the bottom turnbuckle. To being picked up and thrown around like a toy. Ivy Nile was able to display a good part of her move-set during this squash match.

Ivy Nile wins by submission

Grade: B

At the end of the match, Malcom cuts a promo continuing to boast about Ivy Nile. While Malcolm is about to introduce Rodrick Strong, Ikeman jiro comes out and punches Julius Creed.

Ikeman Jiro vs Julius Creed

Julius Creed was able to hold his own throughout the entire match, Jiro was able to get some offense in but it just wasn’t enough. Julius catches Jiro out of the air and makes him pay for the victory. At the end of the match we see Diamond Mine beat up on Jiro, and we see the return of Kushida! Who is there to save Jiro, this is Kushidas first appearance since losing the cruiserweight title to Rodrick Strong.

Julius Creed wins by pinfall

Grade: B

Von Wagner and Kyle O’Riley vs Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland

This was an absolutely fantastic tag team match, one of the best tag matches that i have seen on WWE tv in a long time. In the end, Dunne gets the running knee from the ring apron. Von and Ridge both tag in, and Von Wagner wins with the double underhook sidewinder.

Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly by pinfall

Grade: A

Duke Hudson vs Grayson Waller

This was a short but good match, Grayson Waller hits a lcean stunner on Hudson, picks him up for a near fall. Waller goes back to the ropes, but Duke kicks the rope on the springboard move and grabs Waller’s tights to pick up the win.

Duke Hudson wins by rollup

Grade: C –

Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta vs Sarray and Amari Miller

A solid tag team match, where we see Persia and Indi takeover the majority of this contest. Showcasing how well they both can be used in the ring. Hartwell was able to end this contest fairly quickly with the her finishing move.

Indi Hartwell picks up the victory by pinfall

Grade: C

After the match, we see Persia proposing that her and Indi should go for the NXT tag team titles. Then Zoey Stark and Io Shirai show up. Io says that she doesn’t like Indi, Persia and Stark. Then Toxic Attraction show up. Dolin and Jayne say they don’t care about anything or anyone except the tag team titles. This starts a three team brawl in the ring, where we see Io and stark come out on top.

Santos Escobar vs Isaiah “Swerve” Scott

What. A. Match.

Sadly this is the last time that we see Swerve scott in NXT, where Hit Row has been able to be one of the diamonds in the rough for the company. Lets hope for the same when they go to Smackdown. At the start of the match we see swerve scott stop Santos mid entrance and blindsides him. Escobar and Swerve left everything in the ring tonight. These two have been rivals for the better part of a year, and this was the culmination of their feud on NXT.

So many great moves was hit throughout this match, such as a frog splash from Santos, and an attempted 450 splash on Santos by Scott but was countered with the double knees.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott wins by pinfall

But wait….. after the match we see Carmelo Hayes cash in his breakout star contract that allows him to challenge for a title. (The NXT version of the MITB for young talent)

After a kick-out from Scott, we see Hayes hit a pump kick on swerve. Hayes goes to the top and hits a mean leg drop to the beck of the neck. Carmelo Hayes is your new North American Champion!

Grade: A+

NBA Preseason Night 10: Predictions, Preview, Schedule

Oct. 12, 2021

Raptors vs Wizards

Time: 7pm Est

Predicted Winner: Raptors

The raptors are on a great run right now when it comes to developing. Currently they sit 2-2 during the preseason campaign. Precious Achiuwa has shocked a lot of fans of the Raptors and the entire NBA. We didn’t see much of precious last season in Miami. But from the looks of it, hes going to enjoy his time in Toronto. The SF/PF spot is open enough for Precious to finally get some much-needed playing time on this young raptors squad.

Warriors vs Lakers

Time: 10:30pm Est

Predicted Winner: Warriors

The Warriors get another chance to knockoff the Lakers before they face each other on opening day, Oct. 19. The Warriors are on a tear right now, taking down the Lakers, Nuggets and Blazers. To remain undefeated during the preseason will be assuring for them. With Klay still out and making his possible return for Christmas. The Warriors have already found his replacement until then. Jordan Poole has officially come into his own, in these 3 preseason games he has shocked the league. Last game against the Lakers he dropped 28 points, 2 Ast and 3 rebounds. Steph Curry has also been giving him high praise, saying that he could be the next version of himself. That is high praise for any player, let’s see if he can continue this spurt tonight.

NBA Preseason Night 9: Results

Raptors defeat the Rockets – 92-107

Top scorer for each team –

Rockets: Armoni Brooks – 15 points and 1 rebound

Raptors: Precious Achiuwa dropped 17 aswell as OG Anunoby

The Raptors pick up a huge win against the Rockets behind the help of Precious and OG. Its always welcoming to see Precious doing great. I feel like a lot of his depth wasn’t used on the Heat. If that wasn’t the case, then he needed a brand-new team. This could be his chance to finally get some ground in his NBA career.

Heat defeat the Hornets – 104-103

Top scorer for each team –

Heat: Bam Adebayo – 18 points, 1 Ast and 5 Rebounds

Hornets: Miles Bridges – 22 points, 6 Ast and 10 Rebounds

The Miami Heat was able to creep by and get a big win against the Hornets to stay undefeated in the preseason. They continue to be a team that looks to come out hot at the start of the season.

76ers defeat the Nets – 115-104

Top scorer for each team –

76ers: Furkan Korkmaz – 27 points, 4 Ast and 3 Rebounds

Nets: Kevin Durant – 23 points, 1 Ast and 7 Rebounds

The 76ers we able to handle a hot KD tonight, with the help of a man named Furkan Korkmaz. Furkan always has these type of games every few months. Hes a great player who’s potential is being tapped into every few games that he has. If hes able to stay this hot throughout the season, it would be huge for the 76ers at the guard spot.

Grizzlies defeat the Pistons – 127-92

Top scorer for each team –

Grizzlies Ja Morant – 24 points, 5 Ast and 2 Rebounds

Pistons: Jerami Grant – 13 points, 3 Ast and 1 Rebound

The Grizzlies continue to improve every single preseason game, its admiring watching ja Morant perform every night. Something that leaves you in awe with every single performance.

Jazz defeat the Pelicans – 127-96

Top scorer for each team –

Jazz: Rudy Gobert – 19 points, 2 Ast and 19 Rebounds

Pelicans: Jonas Valančiūnas – 12 points, 2 Ast and 6 Rebounds

Kings defeat the Trailblazers – 107 – 93

Top scorer for each team –

Kings: Davion Mitchell – 20 points, 4 Ast and 2 Rebounds

Trailblazers: Anfernee Simons – 24 points, 1 Ast and 2 Rebounds

As the score shows, the kings had a very dominant game. With no Dame or CJ in the lineup, the blazers were reliant on the young guys. Anfernee showed signs of dame during this contest but that was not enough to hold an fantastic night for the rookie Davion Mitchell. As I stated in my life post game review for the Kings game against the Clippers. Mitchell is going to be a special player, and I will stick by that in every report.

Timberwolves defeat the Clippers – 128-100

Top scorer for each team –

Timberwolves: D’Angelo Russell – 19 points, 9 Ast and 7 Rebounds

Clippers: Luke Kennard – 18 points, 2 Ast and 5 Rebounds

Another dominating win for the Timberwolves this preseason, one fo the biggest takeaways from tonight’s game was being able to see D’lo, Kat, and Edwards on the floor with each other. All three of these guys played fantastic tonight. Kat and Edwards both gave the Wolves 17 tonight. While doing a lot on the floor, things that just won’t show up on the box score and that’s hustle. You can tell that this young core is going to be different this year and I’m excited to see a healthy wolves team again.

My Play Of The Night

Monday Night Raw Oct. 11, 2021 Review

Welcome to your review and results for Monday Night Raw!

Raw started out tonight with a preview of the big tag team match tonight

Bianca and Sasha vs Charlotte and Becky

The first real action of the night comes from Drew and Big E

Drew and Big E go face to face

The highly anticipated Big E vs Drew that will be at the Saudi PPV. Speaking of the PPV its always seen as by WWE a bigger event then WrestleMania and we are getting that. One week from Thursday

Drew talks about this being his last chance at the raw title before going to smackdown, Big E interrupts him as hes about to speak.

Big E talks about how great it is to be WWE champion, telling Drew he will never take the title away from him. Drew boasts about him being a champion and knowing what it takes to hold the title for 300 days. Leading the company through the pandemic era because he never got to experience the title with the fans.

As Big E and Drew begin to inch closer to each other, the Usos come out. This could be simple ways to plant the seeds of a drew vs roman feud that will happen probably after romans match with Lesner.

The Usos said they are sending warning shots, even though they are on Smackdown. They continue to hype up the potential for a Drew vs Roman match. As well as the New Day vs the Usos as feud that we seen so many times but every time we get it it’s still great.

With this, we get a match tonight between the usos and Drew and Big E

Grade: B+

I thought this promo went very well, it helped both guys stay in character will showing signs of aggression from each.

King of the Ring match: Xavier Woods vs Ricochet

Xavier Woods wins by pinfall

This match was one for the record books, whenever Ricochet and Woods get in the ring with guys in their weight class they always put on a great performance.

Both guys were able to stay airborne throughout this entire even hitting a suplex from the top rope. Woods is so gifted in the ring, hopefully he can go far in this tournament. I would love to see Woods get a role wearing the crown. It would add so much depth to his character, which i feel needs a push. We know the New Day as a great tag team, but i think with Big E winning the WWE title. Its only right for Woods to get his share of a singles push, while still staying in the New Day of course.

On the other hand, ricochet wrestled like he does every single match. Puts his body on the line while putting on a show for the fans. I want him to succeed in the WWE and hopefully this move to smackdown does that.

With this win, Woods moves on. Could we be seeing a Woods and Kofi match in the next round?

Grade: A

Randy Orton and Riddle promo:

This promo was all about Riddle facing Omas and there being a miscommunication between Randy and Riddle. Just something to plant the seeds in the Styles and Omas match soon to come

Grade: D

Mansoor and Mustafa Ali vs Cedric Alexander And Shelton Benjamin:

The Hurt Business wins by pinfall

The match started without an on TV entrance for the hurt business. The match started off strong, with Ali and Mansoor putting on most of the offense. But this match ended very quickly with the hurt business coming out on top.

After the match we see Ali frustrated at Mansoor

Grade: F

This segment was pointless and something that could have been done in the backstage.

Queens crown tournament:

Shayna Baszler vs Dana Brooke

When the match was announced it was obvious who would win this contest. Another one minute match during this tournament. I wish this match got more time but it was a good outcome.

Grade: F

Riddle vs Omas

Omas wins by pinfall

This match started off with Riddle waiting for Randy to intrude the match, as Omas is about to end this match. Aj stops Omas and says that he wants to destroy Riddle. Styles instructs Omas to do a roundhouse kick, which is replayed multiple times. Omas does the “CB” and ends the match.

As AJ is about to come in the ring, Randy’s music plays but no randy is found. After a minute we see randy randomly appear behind AJ to rko him.

Grade: C

Bobby Lashley promo on Goldberg:

Bobby Lashley talks about what happened on raw last week, where Goldberg proclaims that he wants to kill Bobby for hurting his son. Bobby boasts about Goldberg not being able to beat almighty.

This was a short promo that set a tiny bit of hype for the battle in 2 weeks.

Grade: D

Jeff Hardy vs Austin Theory

Austin Theory wins by rollup

This match was used to try and elevate Austin Theory. While in turn it didn’t, we also seen the 24/7 jobbers come into this match for what reason nobody knows. A match that should have went a little longer.

Grade: D

Jinder Mahal vs Kofi Kingston

Jinder Mahal wins by pinfall

This was a solid technical match between two competitors. Kofi dominated the majority of this match. Until the end, where we seen Jinder catch Kofi mid air and put in the Khallas. It sucks that we wont see Woods vs Kofi next week. You would think that it was almost a shoe in since they teased it all night. But with this victory, at-least it makes it easier for Woods to make it to the finals without drama.

Bianca and Sasha vs Charlotte and Becky

Match ends in DQ

This match started off with chaos, Bianca and Sasha fighting over who would start. After minutes of both teams not being able to be controlled. Mangement came out before the commercial break to restart the match. Overall this was a solid match, we saw alot of bickering and smack talk more then wrestling.

Until the end of the match, where it ended in a DQ because of Bianca and Sasha fighting. We then see Bianca and Becky squabble as-well as Becky and Sasha. Setting up hype for crown jewel. This tag team match did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Grade: B+

Doudrop vs Natalya

Doudrop wins by pinfall

The best of the womans matches tonight, we got to see Doudrop in more singles action tonight which was much needed for her career. Doudrop has a nice character, but i feel like she could have a great run as a heel. Its going to be interesting to see what the main roster has in store for Doudrop.

Grade: B

Big E and Drew Mcintyre vs The Usos

This was an excellent match, and my match of the night. We saw Big E and Drew work exceptionally well with each other. This is everything that i wanted in an main event tag team match. I also love how well they have been able to put this feud together. It is super rare now in the WWE where we see a face vs a face for a title. Its something fresh thats much needed, not every feud has to be heel vs face. Maybe sometimes a face wants a title that another face has. There can be a level respect between them as we see in this feud.

I loved that during the match we seen Big E tag himself in and bicker with Drew. Adding some fight and aggression to this feud. We got a little taste of what we can expect at Crown Jewel, this is exactly how this match should have ended.

Overall, i thought this show was pretty average. Nothing to run home about, or be excited for after watching. Next week is the go home show for Crown Jewel so i expect the WWE content on Raw and Smackdown to be ramped up a tad bit.

Grade: A

Overall Grade: C

NBA Preseason Night 9: Predictions, Preview, Schedule

Rockets vs Raptors

Time: 7pm Est

Predicted Winner: Rockets

The Rockets young core came up short vs the Heat, in tonight’s game I fully expect them to bounce back vs Scottie Barnes and the Raptors.

Hornets vs Heat

Time: 7:30pm Est

Predicted Winner: Heat

The Heat continue to run the NBA preseason, every single game throughout this preseason. We have seen Tyler Herro continually get better. This game against the Hornets will be exactly the same. Herro will show the league that hes improved and this is just the start.

Nets vs 76ers

Time: 8pm Est

Predicted Winner: 76ers

Much of the Nets talking point is still, will Kyrie irving play? That question has been answered by Steve Nash who Kyrie met with yesterday. Nash fully expects that they will be without kyrie during home games for the reminder of the season. When the playoffs come around, how will this affect there game plan.

Pistons vs Grizzlies

Time: 8pm Est

Predicted Winner: Pistons

The Pistons only played one game this preseason, while others have played 3 or 4 starting tonight. Frank Jackson has continued to shine for the Pistons with Cade out. Frank has impressed in open practice, and in games. Helping the bench last season with 12 points a game.

Pelicans vs Jazz

Time: 9pm Est

Predicted Winner: Jazz

The Jazz continue to lose in the preseason but, we all know that this team will be right back where they were last season. One of the best teams, just missing one thing. I’m almost positive that we will see them in the Playoffs. But how far will they go? What other pieces can they add?

Kings vs Trailblazers

Time: 10pm Est

Predicted Winner: Kings

This King team looks great, they added another scoring monster in Davion Mitchell. I fully expect them to win tonight’s game against the blazers. Who still look lost without Dame and CJ being on the floor.

NBA Preseason Night 8: Results

Spurs defeat the Magic – 101-102

Top scorer for each team:

Spurs: Dejounte Murray – 18 points, 1 Ast and 5 Rebounds

Magic: Terrence Ross – 20 points, 2 Ast and 1 Rebound

In a game that went down the wire, we saw the Spurs pull out a tough win. Both teams deserve their props tonight as they went out and left It on the floor. For a preseason game there was a lot to prove. Both young teams with talent that want to prove their worth in this league.

Bulls defeat the Cavs – 102-101

Top scorer for each team:

Bulls: DeMar DeRozan – 23 points, 2 Ast and 4 Rebounds

Cavs:  Lauri Markkanen – 18 points, 3 Ast and 4 Rebounds

The Bulls pull out a close win against the Cavs, this makes the second game won against the Cavs in the preseason. In this game, it was a bit closer than the first 131-95 meeting from October 5th. The big 3 from the Bulls were able to all score in double figure again, im very excited to see how this bulls squad plays in the regular season.

Thunder defeat the Bucks – 130-110

Top scorer for each team:

Thunder: Luguentz Dort – 19 points, 1 Ast and 1 rebound

Bucks: Jordan Nwora – 15 points, 3 Ast and 8 Rebounds

The Bucks pulled out a deserving win against the Thunder, they showed full dominance the enter game. Finally winning a contest in the preseason campaign. Jordan Nwora played exceptionally well tonight. Making him the player of the game.

Suns defeat the Lakers – 123-94

Top scorer for each team:

Suns: Chris Paul – 15 points, 5 Ast and 3 Rebounds

Lakers: Anthony Davis – 19 points, 6 Ast and 3 Rebounds

The Suns were able to snatch another game against the Lakers this preseason. In this game, unlike the last game. We only see Anthony Davis and Westbrook. Coach still wants to hold off the big 3 for the regular season. Westbrook was the main talking point from tonight’s game, he dropped 8 points. But he also added 8 turnovers aswell. This isn’t something out of the ordinary for Westbrook as of late. But hes going to have to work on keeping the ball secure because its gonna cost them in the regular season.

My play of the night

NBA Preseason Night 8: Predictions, Preview, Schedule

Oct. 10, 2021

Spurs vs Magic

Time: 6pm Est

Predicted Winner: Spurs

The Spurs come into this contest 1-2, coming off a loss from the Miami Heat they look to bounce back vs the Magic. Keldon Johnson showed out for the Spurs last game dropping 23 points.

Bulls vs Cavs

Time: 7pm est

Predicted Winner: Bulls

The Bulls continue to look good in the preseason, I don’t expect this team to slow down in the remaining preseason games. In their last win vs the Pelicans we saw the new big 3 perform well. Demar dropped 12 points 2 Ast and 6 rebounds. Lonzo dropped 19 points 4 ast and 5 rebounds. With Zach LaVine dropping 21 points with 3 rebounds and Assist.

Thunder vs Bucks

Time: 7:30pm est

Predicted Winner: Bucks

The Bucks were not able to pull out a win vs the Nets. The Bucks have been putting out their deep bench for these preseason games. And that’s exactly what they should be doing. It helps rest the starting lineup. We already know what the Bucks are going to give us this season, and that’s dominating basketball.

Suns vs Lakers

Time: 10pm est

Predicted Winner: Lakers

The lakers look to snag a win against the Suns who they were defeated by on Oct. 6. 105-117, I fully expect to see Russ and Lebron play again. While the coach wants to save the unveiling off the big 3 first the season opener.
